Mission: Grow and lead a team of high-performing engineers to excel with the potential of a startup changing the way educators engage with their students.
Who: A humble but experienced leader passionate about education. You’re looking to build a legacy on the intersection of pedagogy and technology with a company coming off 10x user growth in 2020.
How: You’ll build and support an engineering team as they work toward the technical vision you own as VP-Engineering. Externally, you’re the face of that vision, responsible for sharing goals and progress with key partners. Internally, you’re also collaborating with other product leads, our CPO and VP-Learning to implement a more efficient cross-functional effort across the company.
Education is a $10 trillion market, but not a single education technology company can claim a world-class product team. Aula wants to change that.
Aula is the Learning Experience Platform for Higher Education. Aula makes it easy for educators to create community-centred learning experiences that engage students and make them want to stay by combining easy-to-use technology with 1:1 learning design support for every educator.

We start with a talent screen before getting you in touch with our CPO and a member of the team to cover past experience. From there, we would discuss how you’d build a team dedicated to diversity and inclusion—it’s a must-have on our end. You’d receive a project to demonstrate how you collaborate and make technical decisions before a conversation diving further into your management style. After that, we discuss virtues and run reference checks before welcoming you to the team.
All the best,
